The Habit of Hard

Is your brain in the habit of hard? A few clues are:

  • you feel like you’re having to do things, almost against your will

  • you’re rushing through parts the day, eager to get to a break

  • even when you get a break, it never feels like enough

  • you feel overwhelmed a lot of the time

  • your brain feels like all the wires are firing together, making it hard to focus on any one goal/desire/task to completion

  • you snap at your kids often

  • you feel responsible for and are trying to control everyone’s feelings

  • almost every time you’re kids are upset, you also get upset

We’re sold this idea that motherhood is HARD and STRESSFUL.  That you survive on coffee and wine. And so guess what?  It is HARD AND STRESSFUL.

But the HARD and the STRESS are optional.  You don’t have to experience motherhood this way, no matter how many kids you have or how old they are.
