When It’s Not What You Want

When you're a mom, a large part of what you do every day isn't necessarily what you want to be doing.

You're a pro at doing things you don't really want to do.

Maybe you're so used to doing thing you don't really want to do, that you don't even notice that there are things in your life (not tasks) that you don't want.

Not wanting to do something is not the same thing as not wanting something. Maybe it's a volunteer position, a job, a schedule, an unspoken co-parenting arrangement....ANYTHING.

Often, it's really uncomfortable (even painful) to admit that you don't want something any more. But dishonesty with yourself creates stress in the form of disconnection from yourself. When you're honest with YOU, yes it might be uncomfortable, but it will also feel like a relief.

And it also doesn't mean anything. You don't have to tell any one, or rush to make a change, or do anything. You can just sit with it for a while and try it on.

Getting into alignment with who you are and what you want is SO rewarding and empowering.

Do you have anything in your life that you no longer want? Are you unsure how to figure that out for sure or how to handle it? This is all part of the skill of stress management, and I can teach it to you. Click here to set up a free consult.
